A Great Ormond Street nurse and then a prep schooled matron, before I married John in 1978. He was previously a naval officer for 23 years and became an Anglican minister in 1982. We have 6 children and 6, pending 7, grandchildren. I had a desire to visit Israel and an interest in Biblical Hebrew from the age of 20, and first visited in 1999 at the age of 50. In 2005 we began to bring small Pilgrim groups on combined visits to Israel and Jordan, to give first time visitors a feel for the Bible and the historic land of Israel. Since 2013 I have led two tours single handed, with different emphases: the Jesus trail, to explore the life and teaching of Jesus as we walked the path He walked from Nazareth to Capernaum. In 2015 I led a tour which looked at Jerusalem in greater depth, really seeking to discover God's heart in this place and why he chose to put His Name here. The current tour is to look deeper into the history of Israel: the Patriarchs and Prophets and to see how Old and New Testament fit together. I have studied Biblical Hebrew for 10 years and now teach a friend what I know; I am also (slowly) learning to speak modern Hebrew. I have been a Christian since the age of 16, a minister's wife for 39 years, and have been in leadership/teaching roles within the Church in my own right all of that time. We also have close connections with Lee Abbey, a Christian conference and holiday centre in North Devon, UK. It was here I became a Christian. I have a deep love of the Old Testament as well as the New, a love of the land of Israel and her people and take enormous pleasure in taking people to visit and to study the Scriptures in the land where the events of the Bible took place!
