After breakfast, we make our way north through the Hula Valley stopping first at the excavations of Tel Hazor (Joshua 11) and then continue to Tel Dan where we will tour extensively and include a visit at the Canaanite – Bronze era mud brick gate that has been nicknamed the "Gate of Abraham". At the foot of Mt Hermon we will visit the springs of Banias and the site of Caesarea Philippi and Peter's declaration in Mathew 16.

Next we will visit one of the Druze villages perched on the Golan heights where we will have a stop for lunch (not included). Day 5 - Friday - October 21st, 2022 - (B/D)

We start our day atop the Mount of Beatitudes and read from Matthew 5, the Sermon on the Mount. We continue on to Capernaum, the center of ministry for Jesus in Galilee. Next, we visit Tabgha, remembering the story of the feeding of the 5,000 and John 21 with Jesus calling out to Peter to cast the fishing net on the right side. A recently excavated highlight to visit in Galilee is the 1st Century remains of Magdala including the greatest relic of all: A 2000 years old Synagogue. Following our stop for a St. Peters Fish optional lunch (not included) we enjoy a spectacular boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and a visit to Kibbutz Ginosar (Gennesaret) where we will see the remains of a fisherman's vessel discovered on the shores of the Sea of Galilee dating from the time of Jesus.

Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee: Kibbutz Nof Ginosar

Day 6 - Saturday - October 22nd, 2022 - (B/D)

Leaving the Sea of Galilee behind us, we drive southwards through the Jordan River Valley to Beit Shean- a city built at the crossroads between Jezreel and Jordan Valley. Here we will tour the extensive Roman-Byzantine stunning remains of a city that was once part of the Decapolis, and where the bodies of King Saul and his sons were exhibited after battling the Philistines (1st Samuel 31).

Continuing southbound through the Jordan Valley we enter the Judean Desert where we drive past Jericho, and stop at the traditional Baptism site of Qasr El-Yehud. A short drive to lunch and a visit at the site of the Dead Sea Scrolls community of Qumran. Here we will step into the lives of the community that both pre-dates and continues parallel in the 1st Century AD to the days of John the Baptist and Jesus, leaving behind the most important Archeological relic of all – text amongst which we find the earliest of Hebrew biblical scriptures. Having toured the site, we will continue to the desert oasis of Ein Gedi, prominent in King Saul's pursuit of the young King David, with a short trail walk to David's Waterfall. Continuing on to the Dead Sea Spa hotel for check-in and dinner.

Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea: Daniel Dead Sea, Ein Bokek

Day 7 - Sunday - October 23rd, 2022 - (B/D)

Enjoying an early morning float in the mineral rich Dead Sea waters and after another fantastic Israeli breakfast, we begin our touring day at Masada, the desert fortress built by King Herod and later used by Jewish Zealots for their last stand against the Roman Empire. We will ascend upon the wilderness mountain top fortress, by way of cable car, to survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, the synagogue and palaces. We will stop for lunch in the ancient city of Jericho adjacent to Tel Jericho where we will begin our journey from the lowest city in the world, Jericho, to the highest, Jerusalem (at least spiritually speaking!). Arriving this afternoon on top of the Mount of Olives, following the Palm Sunday route down the mountain walking in the footsteps of Jesus and Holy Week. Concluding at the Garden of Gethsemane we will have some private time for prayer and devotion in the garden. Check-in to our Jerusalem Hotel.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem: Dan Jerusalem (Deluxe rooms)

Day 8 - Monday - October 24th, 2022 - (B/D)

Picking up Holy week and the events that we visited in Gethsemane the previous day, we will first continue in the footsteps of Jesus and the betrayal as we arrive at the site that commemorates the trials of Jesus presented to the Sanhedrin and Peter's denial in the courtyard of Caiaphas.

We will continue with a short drive to the city of Bethlehem where we will walk through Manger Square to visit the Church of Nativity, the oldest Church in the Holy Land. Next, visit Shepherds' field and hear the tale of Bethlehem from the local Christian Palestinian population both historically and also a glimpse into everyday life today and the traditional artwork of olive wood carvings made here by local Christian artisans of Bethlehem. In the evening after dinner we will venture out to the spectacular Sound and Light show at the Tower of David Citadel in the Old City.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem: Dan Jerusalem (Deluxe Rooms)

Day 9 - Tuesday - October 25th, 2022 - (B/D)

First thing in the morning is to rise up and onto the Temple Mount, visiting the site of where the Temple once stood. Outside of the Temple Mount, and outside the city in the context of John 5, is the relics of the Bethesda pools!

After readings and time to reflect we will continue into the Old City and following the Via Dolorosa we will arrive at the sites that represent Good Friday, leading from the trial of Pontus Pilate up to the Rock of Calvary and the Tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.

We will continue exploring the Old City and tour the Jewish Quarter including the excavations of the Temple's Southern Steps, Robinson Arch and Ophel excavations adjacent to the Temple Mount and Western Wall - where we will witness the prophecy of destruction, as not one stone will be left upon another. We will conclude with the Jebusite, Davidic and First Temple Era relics unearthed at excavations that have been ongoing at the City of David, and will arrive at the Pool of Siloam (John 9). The end of the day has an opportunity for those who wish to put on their water shoes, turn on a flashlight and walk through the flowing waters of the 2700 years old Shiloah Tunnel (Hezekiah's Tunnel), before returning to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem: Dan Jerusalem (Deluxe Rooms)

Day 10 - Wednesday - October 26th, 2022 - (B/D)

We leave Jerusalem and head to the Valley of Elah where David slew Goliath. For the remainder of the day prepare to ‘get dirty’ as you participate in an archaeological dig under Tel Maresha at Beit Guvrin. You will discover pottery from the time of the Maccabees and develop an appreciation for the tremendous and challenging work of archaeologists! Then we travel to Beer Sheva in the Negev Desert, named by Abraham 4000 years ago. Since then, Beer Sheva has held an important place in the history of Israel.

Next, we visit Tel Beer Sheva where archaeologists have uncovered two-thirds of a city dating from the early Israelite period (10th century BCE.) This city is located on the edge of the wilderness near the confluence of the Beer Sheva and Hebron Streams. The meticulously planned water system of this city demonstrates impressive engineering expertise. As such we have conquered the Ancient land of Israel from Dan to Beer Sheva!!

The journey continues and concludes at the heart of modern Israel with an evening in Tel Aviv. A hands-on Israeli cuisine workshop with full participation required and plenty of wine is our celebration farewell dinner to complete a very hands-on practical day!!

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem: Dan Jerusalem (Deluxe Rooms)

Day 11 - Thursday - October 27th, 2022 - (B/D)

After a leisurely morning to check-out, we begin our final day at the pinnacle of any Pilgrimage – The Garden Tomb also known as Gordon's Calvary, linked to the Crucifixion, Burial, and The Resurrection of Jesus; here we will celebrate Communion together having toured through the Garden viewing Golgotha and the Tomb! We travel through modern West Jerusalem to visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and exhibition for a guided tour and then proceed to the Israel Museum including the Dead Sea Scrolls housed in the iconic Shrine of the Book exhibition and the impressive model of Jerusalem from the Second Temple Period. En-route we will see the Knesset, Israel's parliament building and the Supreme Court building before arriving at a farewell dinner and transfer to the airport.

●        Final Hotels & Itinerary: We typically post final hotel choices 6 months in advance and you may find links to them in the itinerary itself. Along the way, however, we may need to update the hotel, change a site or replace any service with an equal or better-quality experience or value.

●        Group Minimum: A minimum of 22 adult passengers are required. If this minimum is not reached by the Early-Bird special date, we may either a.) request that all adult tour members pay a supplement for the increase in costs of no greater than $500.00 per person and operate the group at the same quality; b.) lower the hotel class by at least 1 star to offset the increased costs; or c.) postpone the dates until a minimum number of participants are achieved.

●        Deposit & Payments: This tour has a non-refundable (but transferable) $500.00 deposit per person upon signup. The deposit can be paid by debit/credit card, check, money order, over-the-counter deposit. You can make monthly payments of any amount toward your balance from your online account or contact us for setting up a payment plan. Important Note: We provide a significant discount for paying your final balance by check (see add-ons).

●        Late Registrations: Any registration beyond the Early-bird deadline will be subject to a strict, minimum $200 per person fee (see add-ons) due to the amount of work involved with updating hotels, airlines and service providers on your behalf.

●        Group Airfare: A group airfare must have 10 or more passengers on the same group flight. Group flights are not always more affordable, but they are far more flexible in terms of cancellations and deposit refunds than individual airfares. Typically, only 10% of the tickets may diverge from the main group international flights. Passengers may book their own domestic airfare to/from the main group departure hub or ask us to get a quote for your connection.

●        Individual Airfare: If we do not offer a group airfare for your tour, you or we may book your flight individually. We’re happy to do the job for you and provide the best airfare for the best quality versus price for just a $50.00 fee + the actual cost of the flight that you. To book your individual airfare, send us your passport, credit card details, seating preference, and Miles card if you have one. Individual airfares are non-refundable, but typically can be changed up to 1 year for a fee.

●        Diversions & Add-Ons: If you arrive either before or after the scheduled group departure and arrival times you may and most likely will be subject to additional costs for airport transfers and/or overnights. We are happy to provide our customer with every possible experience and service that is needed from Door to Door, so please contact us if you wish to extend your package to other countries like Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Rome, Jordan, Petra only or any other experience or activity you might want to have to make your experience 100%.

●        Force Majeure and Postponements: If Samson Tours decides to postpone the tour due to political unrest or for any reason beyond our company’s control that could compromise your security, then your tour will be postponed, and your entire balance will carry over to new tour dates. Depending on the new dates, there may be an increase in costs for tours that are rescheduled later than one year from the time of postponement. If you are unable to join the new tour dates and are not insured, then you will be entitled to a refund, less any other non-refundable deposits that may be imposed on us by suppliers.

●        Travel Insurance – Samson Tours does not require travel insurance. It is, however, strongly advised that all travelers equip themselves with a comprehensive travel insurance plan through World Nomads or their favorite insurance provider. You can obtain an individual travel insurance quote, by visiting our Get Travel Insurance page and clicking on any of the ‘Get a Quote’ links that refer you to our partner’s website. Travel Insurance coverage begins ONLY from the time you have purchased travel insurance. It is advisable only to purchase travel insurance when you have made non-refundable payments that exceed the amount of travel insurance purchased.

●        Your Health: This program is active and involves a lot of walking over uneven surfaces and climbing stairs. All locations may not be accessible for the disabled. Having a disability does not disqualify you from joining any tour. However, be advised that you may have to forgo portions of the said itinerary by waiting on the bus or in a safe location until the main group has returned. If you require special accommodation, please report this at the time of your reservation so that we can better serve you.

●        Single Supplement: For single travelers, a single supplement fee for the hotels is required. This usually amounts to around 85%-90% of the Double Room cost. If a person has ordered a double room and his or her roommate cancels his or her tour, then the individual holding a double room must find a new roommate or pay the single supplement.

●        Exchange Rate: Samson Tours, Inc. reserves the right to charge a supplement to the price if the dollar falls below the 3.5 threshold.

●        Government Imposed VAT or taxes: Currently there are no VAT taxes for foreign on tour land packages to Israel. Should such a tax be imposed before the start of the tour, even after ‘final payment’ has been made, Samson Tours will notify all of its participants in writing. In order to participate in the tour, you will be required to pay all such taxes before the start of the tour. If you are an Israeli citizen, you will be asked to pay VAT at the time of your final payment.
