Day 1 - Sunday - November 27th, 2022 - (D)

At 13:15, we’ll depart Newark (EWR) on El Al Airlines LY28 on a direct flight to Israel

Day 2 - Monday - November 28th, 2022 - (B/D)

At 06:35 (local Israel time), we’ll arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport. Upon arrival, immediately after passport control, we’ll be greeted by a Samson Tours “Smile” assistant who will assist you with your luggage and any needs you might have before exiting the terminal and boarding our bus.

We’ll have a lovely time touring some areas around Tel Aviv and have lunch in Jaffa before arriving in the early afternoon to our hotel by the sea. We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities, a short walk around Netanya and the lovely shores of the Mediterranean Sea before having our welcome dinner together in the evening.

Day 3 - Tuesday - November 29th, 2022 - (B/D)

Caesarea, Megiddo, Mt. Carmel and Mt Precipice

En-route to Galilee we will be visiting the following Biblical sites: Caesarea (Acts 10, 12, 23), Megiddo (Armageddon; 1 Kings 9:15; Rev. 16:16), and Mt. Carmel (1 Kings 18). We complete our tour overlooking the Jezreel Valley at Mt. Precipice, the traditional site for Jesus being chased out of Nazareth (Luke 4).

Day 4 - Wednesday - November 30th, 2022 - (B/D)

Tel Hazor, Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Golan Heights, Yardenit

After breakfast, we make our way north through the Hula Valley stopping first at Tel Hazor, a city taken by Joshua (Joshua 11:10-14). We then head to Tel Dan where we will tour extensively and include a visit at the Canaanite – Bronze era mud brick gate that has been nicknamed the Gate of Abraham. At the foot of Mt Hermon, we will visit the springs of Banias and the site of Caesarea Philippi. This is where Peter made his declaration about Jesus (Matt. 16). Next, we will visit one of the Druze villages perched on the Golan heights where we will have a stop for lunch (not included).

After enjoying the tastes and spices of this Syrian/Lebanese cuisine we will head out to the Golan Heights and visit the Mt. Bental overlook. From this former military base, we can look into Syrian territory and learn about the ancient Damascus Road as well as modern military history in this region. We will end our day at the Jordan River where you have an option for baptism and renewal.

Day 5 - Thursday - December 1st, 2022 - (B/D)

We start our day atop the Mount of Beatitudes and read from Matthew 5, the Sermon on the Mount. We continue on to Capernaum, the center of ministry for Jesus in Galilee. Next, we visit Tabgha, remembering the story of the feeding of the 5,000 and John 21 with Jesus calling out to Peter to cast the fishing net on the right side. Following our stop for a St. Peters Fish optional lunch (not included) we will conclude our touring around the Sea of Galilee. First visiting the 1st Century remains of Magdala including the greatest highlight of all: A 2000 years old Synagogue. We travel to a special overview of the Valley of Bethsaida, which is the hometown of Peter, Andrew, and Philip. We conclude our tour in Galilee with an amazing boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where we will have time for worship. Afterwards, we visit the “Jesus boat; from the first century, a vessel found here along the shores of Galilee in 1986. After Lunch, we leave the Galilee and make our way along the Jordan Valley. The highway takes us to the Biblical site of Beit Shean, a well-preserved Decapolis Roman city. Here the bodies of King Saul and his sons were displayed upon the city walls after they were defeated by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10-12). We will continue or journey through the Jordan

Valley and arrive for our check-in to the Dead Sea hotel – Enjoying the hotel and Beach facilities.

Day 6 - Friday - December 2nd, 2022 - (B/D)

Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Qasr El Yahud, Jericho – Entrance into Jerusalem on the Mt. Olives

We arrive at Masada and ascend high upon the wilderness mountain, by way of the cable car, to the fortress built by King Herod. We survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, the synagogue, temples and palaces. Continuing along the shores of the Dead Sea, we take a short drive to Ein Gedi, where David hid from the wrath of King Saul. We enjoy a walk up to the flowing and lush oasis waterfalls, hopefully seeing Ibex along the way. Then we continue to the site of the Dead Sea Scroll community and view some of the most important caves that this ancient treasure of a library was hidden for two millennia!! We continue our drive through the Wilderness of Judah for Jericho, where after a chance to eat lunch we view from outside the ancient city where the wall came tumbling down (Joshua 2-6; Mark 10:46; Luke 19:1). We then continue to Qaser-El Yahud Baptismal site where tradition believes Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Towards the end of the day, we have an Aliya (Ascension) to Jerusalem to enjoy with praise and song as we stop to view the ancient passageway to Jerusalem and arrive perched upon the Mt. Olives.

Day 7 - Saturday - December 3rd, 2022 - (B/D)

Beginning with a lookout point from the Mt. Olives, picking up from the conclusion of our previous day, we will then walk together down the Palm Sunday Road. This descent to the Kidron Valley leads us through the commemorative sites of teachings, acts and also the weeping of Jesus over Jerusalem from Mt. Olives, as well as the large Jewish cemetery that fills the mountainside. The conclusion of the Palm Sunday Road is reaching the Garden of Gethsemane for private prayer time and reflection. Continuing in the footsteps of Jesus on Holy Week, we will arrive from the betrayal at Gethsemane to the trial of the Sanhedrin at the traditional site of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas – St. Peter In Gallicantu Church. Then we will travel to Bethlehem to enjoy a fantastic optional lunch and visit sites of Pilgrimage, amongst them the Shepherds Fields, while also meeting the local Christian population and seeing their famous Holy Land olive wood carvings. In the evening after Dinner there is a Light and Sound show at the Tower of David that is spectacular!

Day 8 - Sunday - December 4th, 2022 - (B/D)

Temple Mount, St. Anne’s (Bethesda Pools), City of David Excavations and Hezekiah Tunnel to Pool of Siloam, Room of the Last Supper, Jewish Quarter, Davidson Center, Western Wall and Western Wall Tunnels

First thing in the morning is an early rise up and onto the Temple Mount, visiting the site of where the Temple once stood and we will tour the sites from the courtyards around where the Muslim shrines stand today. Next we will find a Gospel site just outside of the Temple Mount, and outside of the ancient city in the context of John 5, that is the relics of the Bethesda pools! We will continue to the excavations that have unearthed the City of David, and will arrive at the Pool of Siloam (John 9). After readings and time to reflect we will travel back into the Old City and arrive at the sites that represent the Room of the Last Supper and the tongues of fire of Pentecost. We then enter the Old city and tour the Jewish Quarter including the Southern Steps, Robinson Arch and Ophel excavations adjacent to the Temple Mount, have time at the Western Wall and conclude our day with the Western Wall Tunnel tour - where we will witness the prophecy of destruction, as not one stone will be left upon another.

Day 9 - Monday - December 5th, 2022 - (B/D)

Yad Vashem Children’s Memorial, Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, Ecce Homo Sisters of  Zion Pavement, Via Dolorosa, Christian Quarter, Garden Tomb (Gordon's Calvary)

One of the iconic sites of modern Jerusalem is our first stop when visiting the Children's Memorial and the Avenue of the Righteous Amongst the Nations at Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center, in order to reflect on the victims of the holocaust and some messages from history for humanity to never forget. We continue to the Israel Museum to see the Shrine of the Book Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition and the model of the 2nd Temple Era. Returning to the Old City we walk the path of scripture and tradition that is the Via Dolorosa representing the events of Good Friday leading from the trial of Pontus Pilate up to the Rock of Calvary and the Tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. After some free time enjoying the Christian Quarter, we will walk by foot to the climax of our Pilgrimage – The Garden Tomb. Our tour has taken us through historical and traditional sites of Scripture, connecting us to the world of Jesus and Gospel. Many generations of Pilgrims have come before us, seeking the teachings of Gospel throughout the Land of the Bible – now, having concluded our Pilgrimage, you too are Pilgrims of Jerusalem and will be celebrating and worshiping at the empty tomb!

Day 10 - Tuesday - December 6th, 2022 - (B/D)

Shilo, Mt. Gerizim, Independence Hall, Tel Aviv/Joppa (Jaffa), Return to USA

This morning we will make our way along the peak of the Judean and Samarian hills, following the Way of the Patriarchs, to the excavations of Shiloh where the tabernacle was situated for 369 yrs.! We join the footsteps of Joshua, Samuel and even the brides to be in the winepresses as we examine the relics of this ancient spiritual center of Israel! We then continue further North to the peak of Mt. Gerizim where we will meet both the ancient relics of Samaria as well as the tiny Samarian community that is still preserving their way of life, Passover sacrifice and their ancient scripture. A view of ancient Shechem (today Nablus) lets us point out the area of Jacobs well and Joseph’s tomb adjacent to the Tel of this ancient and biblical city. From the Peak of the hill country we will descent to the beaches and the most important port city in this part of the Eastern Mediterranean. This is Jaffa, walking in the pathways of the book of Acts with Peter arriving at Simon the Tanners. We will conclude our tour in the modern streets of Tel Aviv opening the modern chapter in the story which is Israel and experience the Independence Hall – where the State of Israel was declared! A farewell dinner is included at a local restaurant and transfer to the airport for the return journey home.

Day 11 - Wednesday - December 7th, 2022 - (B/D)

  • Arrive home with plenty of time to prepare for Thanksgiving

  • Credit card fees for the final balance payment ($85.00 = approx. 2.5%).
  • Final Hotels & Itinerary: We typically post final hotel choices 6 months in advance and you may find links to them in the itinerary itself. Along the way, we reserve the right to update the hotel, change a site or replace any service with an equal or better-quality experience or value.
  • Group Minimum: A minimum of 20paying adult passengers are required. If this minimum is not reached by the Early-Bird special date, we may either a.) request that all adult tour members pay a supplement for the increase in costs of no greater than $500.00 per person and operate the group at the same quality; b.) lower the hotel class by at least 1 star to offset the increased costs; or c.) postpone the dates until a minimum number of participants are achieved.
  • Deposit & Payments: This tour has a non-refundable (but transferable) $400.00 deposit per person upon signup. The deposit can be paid by debit/credit card, check, money order, over-the-counter deposit. You can make monthly payments of any amount toward your balance from your online account or contact us for setting up a payment plan. Important Note: We provide a significant discount for paying your final balance by check (see add-ons).
  • Late Registrations: Any registration beyond the Early-bird deadline will be subject to a strict, minimum $200 per person fee (see add-ons) due to the amount of work involved with updating hotels, airlines and service providers on your behalf.
  • Group Airfare: A group airfare must have 10 or more passengers on the same group flight. Group flights are not always more affordable, but they are far more flexible in terms of cancellations and deposit refunds than individual airfares. Typically, only 10% of the tickets may diverge from the main group international flights. Passengers may book their own domestic airfare to/from the main group departure hub or ask us to get a quote for your connection.
  • Individual Airfare: If we do not offer a group airfare for your tour, you or we may book your flight individually. We’re happy to do the job for you and provide the best airfare for the best quality versus price for just a $50.00 fee + the actual cost of the flight that you. To book your individual airfare, send us your passport, credit card details, seating preference, and Miles card if you have one. Individual airfares are non-refundable, but typically can be changed up to 1 year for a fee.
  • Diversions & Add-Ons: If you arrive either before or after the scheduled group departure and arrival times you may and most likely will be subject to additional costs for airport transfers and/or overnights. We are happy to provide our customer with every possible experience and service that is needed from Door to Door, so please contact us if you wish to extend your package to other countries like Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Rome, Jordan, Petra only or any other experience or activity you might want to have to make your experience 100%.
  • Refunds: Your initial deposit is non-refundable; however, it can be fully transferable to another passenger or may be used for future travel dates with us. The following balance refunds apply to non-insured travelers only:

▪          90+ calendar days before departure – full refund

▪          89-60 days before departure – minimum 75% refund

▪          59-30 days before departure – minimum 50% refund

▪          29-0 days before departure - minimum 0% refund, maximum 25% refund

  • Force Majeure and Postponements: If Samson Tours decides to postpone the tour due to political unrest or for any reason beyond our company’s control that could compromise your security, then your tour will be postponed, and your entire balance will carry over to new tour dates. Depending on the new dates, there may be an increase in costs for tours that are rescheduled later than two years from the time of postponement. If you are unable to join the new tour dates and are not insured, then you will be entitled to a refund, less any other non-refundable deposits that may be imposed on us by suppliers.
  • Travel Insurance – Samson Tours does not require travel insurance. It is, however, strongly advised that all travelers equip themselves with a comprehensive “cancel for any reason” travel insurance plan through. Travel Insurance coverage begins ONLY from the time you have purchased travel insurance. It is advisable only to purchase travel insurance when you have made non-refundable payments that exceed the amount of travel insurance purchased.
  • Your Health: All participants should be in good health and walking condition. This program is active and involves a lot of walking over uneven surfaces and climbing stairs. All locations may not be accessible for the disabled. Having a disability does not disqualify you from joining any tour. However, be advised that you may have to forgo portions of the said itinerary by waiting on the bus or in a safe location until the main group has returned. If you require special accommodation, please report this at the time of your reservation so that we can better serve you.
  • Single Supplement: For single travelers, a single supplement fee for the hotels is required. This usually amounts to around 85%-90% of the Double Room cost. If a person has ordered a double room and his or her roommate cancels his or her tour, then the individual holding a double room must find a new roommate or pay the single supplement.
  • Exchange Rate: Samson Tours, Inc. reserves the right to charge a supplement to the price if the dollar falls below the 3.5 threshold. To date, we have never yet had to charge an exchange rate surcharge.
  • Government Imposed VAT or taxes: Currently there are no VAT taxes for foreign on tour land packages to Israel. Should such a tax be imposed before the start of the tour, even after ‘final payment’ has been made, Samson Tours will notify all of its participants in writing. In order to participate in the tour, you will be required to pay all such taxes before the start of the tour. If you are an Israeli citizen, you will be asked to pay VAT at the time of you final payment.
  • Responsibility - Samson Tours, Inc., its agents, suppliers, guides, leaders and representatives shall be, in no way, liable or responsible for any personal or property loss, damage or injury howsoever caused.
