The Four-Room House

The four-room Israelite house dates to the 9th-8th centuries BCE. Archaeologists have defined this style of architecture as an early Israelite thumbprint. One should note that the house initially was located above the Canaanite palace in Area A. The house was moved from that location to the present one in order to expose the area beneath.
